The Sayl Office Chair by Herman Miller is the most budget-friendly option in the lineup — yet it rivals more expensive models in both adjustability, quality, and ergonomic performance.
Its innovative Y-Tower™ structure connects the seat and backrest, forming a flexible frame that adapts perfectly to the user’s posture. The lumbar support is independently mounted and can be adjusted within a 10 cm range, allowing precise customization for your back.
The frameless 3D intelligent suspension back provides exceptional support while allowing complete freedom of movement — ensuring you stay comfortable, active, and well-supported throughout the day.

The seat base is made of a polymer mesh with elastomeric fibers that flex naturally around the body without losing shape. This innovative material combines strength, elasticity, and durability, providing ergonomic comfort and long-lasting performance.
The mesh maintains its original form over time — it doesn’t stretch, crack, or trap dust, and remains smooth and clean even after years of use. This makes the Sayl Chair both a practical and elegant solution for modern workspaces.

To raise the seat, stand up slightly and lift the lever upward.
To lower the seat, lift the lever while sitting — your weight will bring it down smoothly.
The optimal height is achieved when your feet rest flat on the floor and your knees form a 90-degree angle.
To adjust the seat depth, slide the seat forward or backward until you find your most comfortable position. Ideally, there should be about three fingers’ width of space between the back of your knees and the front edge of the seat — ensuring proper circulation and long-term comfort.
The goal is to find a balance where the chair reclines smoothly without excessive effort, yet the backrest doesn’t “give way” — maintaining proper support and natural body alignment while you move.

The outer lever controls the forward tilt, while the inner lever adjusts the recline backward.
For optimal ergonomic posture, the forward tilt angle should be around 7–10 degrees, helping you maintain active sitting during focused tasks.
You can also set the tilt limiter using the horizontal lever on the left side under the seat — allowing you to lock the recline at your preferred angle.
Extra lumbar support is provided through an adjustable lever and lumbar pad located on the back of the chair. Move the pad forward or backward to fine-tune its position so that it comfortably supports the natural curve of your spine.
