Aeron Remastered - Office chair, size B, mineral satin

The office chair Aeron from Herman MIller, Mineral Color attracts attention at the first sight and there are many reasons for that. The Aeron chairs certainly found its place at the Museum of Architecture in New York, but the creators are still finding ways to improve the model. 

The well-known around the world pellicle is not suspended in a stand still position, but rather gets back to the initial form after the user stands up. The model has an aluminum frame, a wide back to support the spine and a seat pan with a mesh that supports the thighs in a comfortable position. Size C is designed for weight from 130 kg, with growth over 180 cm.

8Z pellicle is world famous material that holds the body in a suspended position distributing the weight evenly across the surface. A durable wear-resistant polymer membrane 8Z Pellicle, patented by Herman Miller, is stretched. 8Z stands for 8 zones support with different type of stretching providing higher support where needed, either it a spine, thighs, back, shoulders, knees.

Seat base - 8Z Pellicle membrane 

The 8Z Pellicle membrane is ideal for long-term use: the surface of the mesh cannot be damaged, does not accumulate dust, can be easily clean with wet napkins and has no dirt after extensive usage. The mesh elastically envelops the body of the seated person, but after exposure, it returns to its original state thanks to 20% elastane, which is part of it. The cover is breathable, so that the body of the seated person does not overheat even in extreme heat.

Adjustable depth of the lumbar

The lumbar area could be supported using a soft cushion on the back side of the backrest. The cushion consists of two pads that have different level of hardness.The width of the back has very high distribution center of the pressure.  The backrest of the chair as a form of English letter S that repeats the shape of the spine. Once the user leans back the backrest consumers the weight of the back and distributes it evenly on the surface of the pellicle.

Adjustable SL support

The level of support for the sacral and lumbar spine is easily adjusted using the unique PostureFit SL mechanism. Intensity of the support could be regulated twising the roller clockwise. Turn the lever on the right side of the chair clockwise and back to the position where you feel the most comfortable. Approximately 30 turns of the lever are available.

Height adjustable chair

The height adjustable mechanism is located to the right of the seat. For comfortable seating Herman Miller highly recommends to keep the angle of 90 degrees in the knee secation. There are 6 seat height positions available in 2.3 cm increments: from 40.6 cm to 52.1 cm.

Height adjustable armrests

The height lock is located at the base of the armrest. You must fix the armrests at the level of the tabletop, generating an angle of 90 degrees in the elbow joint. Fix the armrests at the level of the tabletop, the load on the arms will decrease, while maintaining an optimal angle of 90-120 degrees in the elbow joint. Armrests can be rotated inward or outward for additional comfort when working with the mouse and keyboard.

Adjustable tension control

The chair should recline without much efforts, so the back would not fall keeping the body in balance. The tension of the recline of the chair could be regulated twisting the lever on the right side of the chair below the thighs (add tenstion rotate clockwise, remove tension rotate counter clockwise). Smooth rocking of a chair allows to provide free circulation of blood throughout the working day.

Tilt Limiter and Forward Tilt

The forward/backward recline level is adjusted using the levers on the left side of the chair. Forward til is controlled by the lever that clicks during the recline. The backward tilt has 3 levels of recline to put the user in comfortable position. Herman Miller recommends to recline in a suspension position, so the body could float in a chair.

Castors do not scratch the floor

The chair is configured by default with carpet castors. The option for the hard floor usually configured at extra charge. The C7 castors roll smoothly on the hard floor without noise.
