The most distinctive feature of the Aeron chair is superior durability. When the user stands up there are no traces of seat deformation. The well-known around the world pellicle is not suspended in a stand still position, but rather gets back to the initial form after the user stands up. The model has a wide back to support the spine and a seat pan with a mesh that supports the thighs in a comfortable position. 8Z pellicle is world famous material that holds the body in a suspended position distributing the weight evenly across the surface. The pellicle consists of 20% Elastan what allows better stretching of the suspension and responsible for the function to get back to initial position after the user changes the position. 8Z stands for 8 zones support with different type of stretching providing higher support where needed, either it a spine, thighs, back, shoulders, knees. 

Characteristics

The seat pan consists of a mesh called 8Z Pellicle 

Polymere membrane 8Z Pellicle is very durable material. The mesh is very elastic, while seated it embodies the back of the user and gets back to initial position when the user stands up. The surface of the mesh does not accumulate dust, can be easily clean with wet napkins and has no dirt after extensive usage. Pellicle is known for transparency, 100% breathable and lets the air go through easily. The temperature of the user would not raise even by one degree keeping the body at 36.6 celcius without overheating the back and the thighs during the seating.  

Height adjustable chair 

The height adjustable mechnism is located to the right of the seat pan beside the user's thigh while seating. For comfortable seating Herman Miller highly recommends to keep the angle of 90 degrees in the knee secation. This allows the user to evenly distribute the pressuer enjoying comfortable seating. 

Height adjustable armrests with pivoting mechanism

The configuration of the fully adjustable chair consists of pivoting armrests, along with width and depth adjustable arm pads. The armrests have clips that lock and unlock the armrest for the convenience of the user. The armrests should be adjusted in paraller with the working top or slightly lower, so the arms could be relaxed during the seating. When the arms and shoulders relaxed the user feels the most comfort during the work. The arm pads of Aeron chair pivoting outside allows better comfort during the work with the computer mouse. Pivoting the armpads inside allows better control of the work on the computer keyboard providing the best ergonomics and comfort during the seating. 

Adjustable tension control

The tension of the recline of the chair could be regulated twisting the lever on the right side of the chair below the thighs (add tenstion rotate clockwise, remove tension rotate counter clockwise. The quantity of twists depends on the desired strenght of backrest resistance. The chair should recline without much efforts, so the back would not fall keeping the body in balance. 

Adjustable SL support 

The level of support for the sacral and spine could be adjusted in depth by twisting the roller. The ALP support could be relaxed, so the user feels less tense push at the lumbar area. Intensity of the support could be regulated twising the roller clockwise. Keep twising the roller to achieve the required intensity of the sacral support area. 

Adjustable depth of the lumbar

The lumbar area could be supported using a soft cushion on the back side of the backrest. The cushion consists of two pads that have different level of hardness.  

The width of the back has very high distribution center of the pressure. The ergonomics of the chair is quite simple. The backrest of the chair as a form of English letter S that repeats the shape of the spine. Once the user leans back the backrest consumers the weight of the back and distributes it evenly on the surface of the pellicle. In this way the back muscles are getting completely relaxed, there is no stiffness on the shoulders. Posture Fit ASL supports the lumbar area so the spine could repeat the letter S taking off the weight the chest.  The density of Pellicle at the bottom part is more firm, than at the upper part of the back rest. It has a function of even better weight distribution through 8 Zones of support. 

Tilt Limiter and Forward Tilt

The forward/backward recline level is adjusted using the levers on the left side of the chair. Forward til is controlled by the lever that clicks during the recline. The backward tilt has 3 levels of recline to put the user in comfortable position. Herman Miller recommends to recline in a suspension position, so the body could float in a chair. 

Castors do not scratch the floor

The chair is configured by default with carpet castors. The option for the hard floor usually configured at extra charge. The C7 castors roll smoothly on the hard floor without noise.
